The Pulmonary and Critical Care department will consist mainly of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cystic fibrosis, sleep disorders, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, infectious diseases of the lungs and pulmonary vascular disease. Diagnostic procedures include: fiberoptic bronchoscopy with transbronchial lung biopsy and bronchoalveolar lavage, pleural biopsy, and pulmonary artery catheterization. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a mix between ICU, consults, and clinic.
